Things that irritate me #468

Things that super irritate me: This guy

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/22821093/

I hope you can get the link. It’s about Drew Peterson. Apparently he’s wanting to date now. I’m sorry. You keep saying your wife, Stacey ran off with some other guy, however, if that were the case, don’t you think you wouldn’t be the only suspect in a MURDER investigation for her?!?
I mean let’s look at Scott Peterson, who coincidentally, his wife Lacey* also supposedly “just went missing.” Please picture me using air quotes when I said that. I do understand the difference in the situations is that Lacey was supposedly kidnapped and Stacey just disappeared. However, if you think about it, both women seemed to vanish which leads me to the actual similarity besides their last names being Peterson. They both were there one minute and the next gone. You see, Scott Peterson actually pretended to care and search for his missing wife. Drew hasn’t. It’s like he just doesn’t care because she supposedly “ran off with this other guy.” The other factor: His third wife’s death is now being looked at as a homicide. So, let’s see here Drew, I think that if your wife ran off with this other guy she would at least contact someone to let them know. Or someone would see her. SOMEONE.

I have a sister. We are close. And according to Stacey's family, she and her family are close. So. . .

A) If I’m going to leave my abusive husband, I would call my sister and let her know so my family didn’t worry.
B) If I didn’t call my sister, I’m sure as Hell going to call my best friend and tell her not to worry.
C) Even though I think my husband’s a complete douche and should rot in jail for my supposed murder, I would at least let my family or friends know that I am alive and not to exhaust their efforts in trying to find me. I don’t want to be found. And because I am close to them and wouldn’t want them to worry about me.
D) I love my kids, so why on earth would I leave without a trace and not so much as a goodbye to them?!?

These are the reasons that I think Drew Peterson is guilty of murdering his wife and somehow getting away with the perfect murder. After all, he is a cop. And evidence is leaning towards him murdering his third wife. And did I mention, all of his wives at one time said that he abused them both physically and verbally?!? Oh and his current missing wife is only 23. And he’s 53ish. If you’re doing math, you would be correct in thinking that his current wife is young enough to be his daughter. Say it with me, “EWWWW.” Plus he just seems so smug and arrogant. This is also why I could not be on the jury. I would want him to fry, and I would totally go with circumstantial evidence.

Thank you for letting me vent.

*It was actually brought to my attention that Scott Peterson's wife was not Stacey as I originally thought, as H so nicely pointed out. It's been like 3 years since then. And their names DO rhyme!

Not to rain on your parade, but Scott Peterson's wife's name was LACEY. But, I'm smelling what you're stepping in. Lacey rhymes with Stacey and their last names are both Peterson and they are mysteriously "disappearing" aka being murdered by their psycho husbands. Truly I see a connection. I wonder if Scott and Drew Peterson are related? Hmmm...
